The Mystery Novel Award (謎團小說獎) is a literary competition hosted by O.H.S.I.R. (重大歷史懸疑案件調查辦公室 - The Office of Historical Suspense Investigation & Research) for fiction based on real criminal cases that took place throughout Taiwan history. Each year, three winners are selected and the author receives a financial prize and their works are published (the first competition opened in 2020 but the winners were announced in 2021). I am not particularly interested in true crime, and I only discovered the OHSIR platform through their literary award. But I do love the idea of works of fiction inspired by real cases, so I’ll probably try to read all the publications linked to the prize.
